After Moons of Migos, Miner Problems was the second game I made in 1984. 
I'd learned quite a bit from Moons of Migos and this was a bit more ambitious (the character moved smoothly and the conveyor belts looked like the direction they were going in).
I was heavily influenced by Manic Miner and although Miner Problems was written in ZX Basic, it was compiled into assembly code.


This game was written in ZX Spectrum basic and compiled.
It takes the form of a .Z80 file and requires a suitable Spectrum Emulator to run.

Due to personal and work reasons, I’m going to stop editing, and I'm saying goodbye with a compilation of homebrew games for The Spectrum on USB. I want it to be the best and most complete compilation of homebrew games that has ever been made. I already have legendary creators from the scene on board, but I’d also like to reach out to you. It can be one game, two, or as many as you want, in .TAP format. Even simply granting me permission and letting me know which games I could include would be enough, and I can download them from http://Itch.io. We have created a system where the games will be encrypted, and no one will be able to use them digitally; they will only be playable on their The Spectrum, Divide, or computer. Nice game, thanks for sharing. I also included it in my new "Gameplay of New ZX Spectrum Games from October 2024" video, in addition to the other ZX Spectrum games released in October.

Miner Problems - I learned about timing and pacing on that game more than Moons of Migos.
I still don't know why I made it that you could only collect keys by jumping at the side of them, and that if you jump up below them you lost a life - {:~{

Hi,
It did have a loading screen and a back story.
I lost those and just have the rom dump as a .Z80 file.
I would love to find the loading screen (it was drawn by my friend Simon Phipps), but I don't have the original backups of the editable files and code.
